YOU WON'T REGRET CHOOSING HALL FARM.

Emily’s place was brilliant. My family visited for 2 nights, we wish it was more.

I have children aged 3 and 1 and this place was great for them. Before we arrived Emily got in contact and asked what we would need, high chair, stairgates, cot etc. This was all set up on arrival which really helped. The play barn had loads of good toys, it was hard to get the kids out of there. Emily also kindly allowed my children to help her collect the eggs from the on-site chickens which was great.

Emily provided great recommendations for kids activities whilst we were there.

The house is in a fantastic location for: walking, cycling, running, or just enjoying the view. A few minutes walk to the local village and there was a pub where we enjoyed a drink. This place would also be great if you didn’t have children, I would have loved to bring my bike, a good book and a few more beers! The play barn also has a pool table and table tennis table as well as board games, so not just for kids.

The house had all the amenities that you might want: Netflix, WiFi, coffee machine, oven etc. The house was really clean. The owners are on site (in their own house) and were around to help if needed. They are very friendly and happy to help.

All in all, this is a great place for families or people with out children to enjoy the Peak District. Would highly recommend and we are planning on going back

PERFECT PLACE FOR A RELAXED FAMILY GETAWAY.

Emily and Tom's cottage (Dovedale) is the perfect place for a relaxed family getaway in beautiful countryside. We stayed with a baby and a toddler, and things could not have been set up any better for us. Shortly after we made our booking, Emily contacted us to offer a travel cot, toddler step, highchair etc. and when we arrived everything was in place ready for us to settle in. The play barn and outdoor mini playground space were big factors in us choosing to book here, both of which exceeded our expectations. The amount of toys and games made available - for adults and children - really elevated our stay in the cottage. Our two-year-old loved seeing the chickens and cows, and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. We definitely recommend Dovedale to anybody holidaying in the Peak District with children.

A FANTASTIC PROPERTY, YOU WILL REALLY LOVE.

A fantastic property you will really love, I can’t recommend it enough. We had a diverse big family group with kids 3-10, dogs, adult couples and singles and there was something for everyone - the kids loved the play barn and outdoor play equipment, the adults loved the peace and quiet and the lovely little cottages!


Each of the cottages was very well setup, clean and really cute. Good range of comfortable beds (bunk beds for the win!) and Proper country cottage vibes. And the play barn was just a brilliant addition - full size table tennis, a 3/4 pool table and a whole TON of toys!


The hosts are a lovely family who were very responsive side and helpful. They made the stay as comfortable as possible but gave us our privacy. The chickens do come and say hello though!


Plenty of parking on site and literally can see one of the peak districts big attractions (Thors Cave) which is a quick rural walk to!


Honestly we will be back - thank you so much.

Perfect holiday!
The cottage was lovely and homely, traditional but with all the technology required for those who use it (Alexa, WiFi, Netflix etc). The location was exceptional, I never got bored of opening the front door to seeing fields all around or watching the sunset over Thor's cave from our picnic table at front of the cottage. It was set up with all the child safety features we needed and we loved the eco friendly products. Playbarn, play area, climbing wall and chickens were lovely touches and all added to the experience. Emily and Tom were very friendly and helpful, our son was particularly excited to be taken into the chicken coop to watch the eggs being collected. Overall, stunning location and well equipped for kids of all ages, couples or hikers. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
