A few words from our guests

YOU WON'T REGRET CHOOSING HALL FARM

Emily’s place was brilliant. My family visited for 2 nights, we wish it was more.

I have children aged 3 and 1 and this place was great for them. Before we arrived Emily got in contact and asked what we would need, high chair, stairgates, cot etc. This was all set up on arrival which really helped. The play barn had loads of good toys, it was hard to get the kids out of there. Emily also kindly allowed my children to help her collect the eggs from the on-site chickens which was great.

Emily provided great recommendations for kids activities whilst we were there.

The house is in a fantastic location for: walking, cycling, running, or just enjoying the view. A few minutes walk to the local village and there was a pub where we enjoyed a drink. This place would also be great if you didn’t have children, I would have loved to bring my bike, a good book and a few more beers! The play barn also has a pool table and table tennis table as well as board games, so not just for kids.

The house had all the amenities that you might want: Netflix, WiFi, coffee machine, oven etc. The house was really clean. The owners are on site (in their own house) and were around to help if needed. They are very friendly and happy to help.

All in all, this is a great place for families or people with out children to enjoy the Peak District. Would highly recommend and we are planning on going back

PERSONAL TOUCHES

Emily’s place, aside from being in a spectacular countryside location, is a comfortable and cozy spot with loads of personal touches to make you feel welcome and at home. Emily is lovely and available - she’s right next door - and was responsive to anything we needed (a road atlas and ground coffee refill in our case). She really did make us feel like we were so welcomed after a long drive in the rain, especially with the Christmas tree and the lights she put out to make it festive. She was prepared for us and our five year old and 10 month old with a baby cot and high chair. The hike to Thor’s cave is gorgeous, and the Guinness and steak pie at the Royal Oak pub was delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the local sites. I highly recommend staying at the Hall Farm cottages.

LOCATION IS STUNNING

The cottages have been absolutely ideal for us. We booked all three cottages for three young families.
Emily has been fantastic, very accommodating and has made the process very easy. All our cottages were lovely, the play barn and children’s facilities have been amazing. It’s made it very easy to entertain the kids when they’ve woken up super early. The location is stunning and plenty of activities to do close by.

I would definitely recommend staying here

PERFECT HOLIDAY

Perfect holiday!
The cottage was lovely and homely, traditional but with all the technology required for those who use it (Alexa, WiFi, Netflix etc). The location was exceptional, I never got bored of opening the front door to seeing fields all around or watching the sunset over Thor's cave from our picnic table at front of the cottage. It was set up with all the child safety features we needed and we loved the eco friendly products. Playbarn, play area, climbing wall and chickens were lovely touches and all added to the experience. Emily and Tom were very friendly and helpful, our son was particularly excited to be taken into the chicken coop to watch the eggs being collected. Overall, stunning location and well equipped for kids of all ages, couples or hikers. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
