What to expect at Hall Farm ...

Hall Farm is set in over an acre of mature country gardens, of which guests have access to over half. There are large spaces to the rear and front of each cottage, suitable for relaxing and dining and soaking up the stunning scenery. The property is open to the adjacent fields, but being off a quiet country lane and not overlooked, you get a great sense of privacy, with uninterrupted views of the spectacular countryside all to yourself.

Our outdoor space is something very special and never fails to impress guests. The front of our property has stunning views across the Manifold Valley and Thors Cave. Each of the cottages has access to a manicured lawn space with table, chairs and parasol for guests to use when the weather is kind enough.

The wide open garden behind has a variety of children’s play equipment, football goals and a badminton court in the summer. This provides plenty of space for children to play freely and burn off energy or have an impromptu game of cricket or swing ball.

There is a paved outdoor seated area with picnic benches and a barbecue for al-fresco dining. This overlooks a small coppice which houses our flock of hens, a wendy house and our traversing wall.

Our playbarn was renovated in July 2020. In it you will find a pool table, table tennis table and a wide variety of toys, craft equipment and games for babies, toddlers, children (and adults!) DVDs and board games can be borrowed for use in the cottages. This means that rainy days need not feel a challenge with youngsters in tow! It is heated so is nice and cosy in winter whatever the weather.

We have on site laundry facilities that guests can use for a small fee. Each cottage has a drying rack for wet gear.
